THE ASSOCIATION
Watch the Sea is for all outdoor explorers and ocean lovers. We offer nature reconnection and immersive ocean experiences while actively supporting the protection of this precious environment.
OUR MISSION
To promote sustainable transformation through the organization of guided Seatrekking expeditions combined with ocean protection activities. We achieve this through our active participation in participatory science programs, collaborations and support.
OUR VISION
To make people see themselves as part of nature again and to protect it. We believe that "when we love something, we protect it".
OUR VALUES
Watch the Sea is based on the values of commitment, empathy, community, love for nature, and the belief that we are existentially connected to it.
OUR OBJECTIVES

OUR HISTORY
The Association Watch The Sea was created in January 2019 in Marseille, France by Martina Schlüter and Philippe Balch with the aim of:
1. Develop the knowledge and protection of the underwater environment,
2. Develop and spread Seatrekking in a resolutely eco-citizen way.
The association, based in Marseille, Brest and Paris, is directed by Philippe Balch and lives thanks to the commitment of its active members and its benevolent supporters. The management team is composed of a dozen members, and a hundred participating members.
Since July 2020, the association is recognized as being of general interest. Donations are tax deductible for individuals and companies.
