Seatrekking: the ocean for everyone

Today at UNOC2025, Watch the Sea presented a vision of the ocean through seatrekking.

A sport, yes.

An adventure, of course.

But above all, a sensitive and collective immersion. A way to reconnect with the underwater world – accessible to all.

Thanks to surfriderfoundation and oceanbasecamp for giving us the opportunity to present today this practice which combines immersion, exploration, participatory science, inclusivity for all and artistic expression by opening the doors of the ocean to:

🌱 young people looking for micro-adventure,

🧠 people with disabilities,

💙 those who carry within them a trauma linked to the sea,

🌍 audiences geographically, socially or symbolically distant from the coast.

Through seatrekking, we explore, we observe, we feel.

And most importantly, we take care of the ocean as much as it takes care of us.
